Unraveling the neurobiological foundations of childhood maltreatment is important due to the persistent associations with adverse mental health outcomes. However, the mechanisms through which abuse and neglect disturb resting-state network connectivity remain elusive. Moreover, it remains unclear if positive parenting can mitigate the negative impact of childhood maltreatment on network connectivity. We analyzed a cohort of 194 adolescents and young adults (aged 14-25, 47.42% female) from the Neuroscience in Psychiatry Network (NSPN) to investigate the impact of childhood abuse and neglect on resting-state network connectivity. Specifically, we examined the SAN, DMN, FPN, DAN, and VAN over time. We also explored the moderating role of positive parenting. The results showed that childhood abuse was linked to stronger connectivity within the SAN and VAN, as well as between the DMN-DAN, DMN-VAN, DMN-SAN, SAN-DAN, FPN-DAN, SAN-VAN, and VAN-DAN networks about 18 months later. Positive parenting during childhood buffered the negative impact of childhood abuse on network connectivity. To our knowledge, this is the first study to demonstrate the protective effect of positive parenting on network connectivity following childhood abuse. These findings not only highlight the importance of positive parenting but also lead to a better understanding of the neurobiology and resilience mechanisms of childhood maltreatment.

RESUMO

Cancer, with high morbidity and high mortality, is one of the major burdens threatening human health globally. Intervention procedures via percutaneous puncture have been widely used by physicians due to its minimally invasive surgical approach. However, traditional manual puncture intervention depends on personal experience and faces challenges in terms of precisely puncture, learning-curve, safety and efficacy. The development of puncture interventional surgery robotic (PISR) systems could alleviate the aforementioned problems to a certain extent. This paper attempts to review the current status and prospective of PISR systems for thoracic and abdominal application. In this review, the key technologies related to the robotics, including spatial registration, positioning navigation, puncture guidance feedback, respiratory motion compensation, and motion control, are discussed in detail.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, uncertainty persists among caregivers regarding the vaccination of pediatric liver transplant recipients (PLTRs). This study evaluates the immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccination in this vulnerable population. A cohort of 30 PLTRs underwent sequential vaccinations with an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine followed by an Ad5-nCoV booster. We collected and analyzed blood samples pre-vaccination and four weeks post-vaccination to quantify antibody and IGRA (IFN-γ Release Assay) levels. We also documented any adverse reactions occurring within seven days post-vaccination and monitored participants for infections over six months post-vaccination, culminating in a comprehensive statistical analysis. The Ad5-nCoV booster substantially elevated IgG (T1: 18.01, 20%; T2: 66.61, 55%) and nAb (T1: 119.29, 8%; T2: 3799.75, 80%) levels, as well as T-cell responses, in comparison to the initial dose. The first dose was associated with some common adverse reactions, such as injection site pain (13.3%) and fever (16.6%), but a low rate of systemic reactions (16.0%). There was no significant difference in Omicron infection rates or RTPCR conversion times between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups. Notably, following Omicron infection, vaccinated individuals exhibited significantly higher SARS-CoV-2 IgG and nAb titers (average IgG: 231.21 vs. 62.09 S/CO, p = 0.0003; nAb: 5246.11 vs. 2592.07 IU/mL, p = 0.0002). The use of inactivated vaccines followed by an Ad5-nCoV booster in PLTRs is generally safe and elicits a robust humoral response, albeit with limited T-cell responses.

As one of the most serious complications of sepsis, sepsis-associated encephalopathy has not been effectively treated or prevented. Exosomes, as a new therapeutic method, play a protective role in neurodegenerative diseases, stroke and traumatic brain injury in recent years. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of exosomes in glutamate (Glu)-induced neuronal injury, and to explore its mechanism, providing new ideas for the treatment of sepsis-associated encephalopathy. The neuron damage model induced by Glu was established, and its metabolomics was analyzed and identified. BV2 cells were induced to differentiate into M1 and M2 subtypes. After the exosomes from both M1-BV2 cells and M2-BV2 cells were collected, exosome morphological identification was performed by transmission electron microscopy and exosome-specific markers were also detected. These exosomes were then cocultured with HT22 cells. CCK-8 method and LDH kit were used to detect cell viability and toxicity. Cell apoptosis, mitochondrial membrane potential and ROS content were respectively detected by flow cytometry, JC-1 assay and DCFH-DA assay. MiR-124-3p expression level was detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase reporter assay predicted and verified the relationship between miR-124-3p and ROCK1 or ROCK2. Through metabolomics, 81 different metabolites were found, including fructose, GABA, 2, 4-diaminobutyric acid, etc. The enrichment analysis of differential metabolites showed that they were mainly enriched in glutathione metabolism, glycine and serine metabolism, and urea cycle. M2 microglia-derived exosomes could reduce the apoptosis, decrease the accumulation of ROS, restore the mitochondrial membrane potential and the anti-oxidative stress ability in HT22 cells induced by Glu. It was also found that the protective effect of miR-124-3p mimic on neurons was comparable to that of M2-EXOs. Additionally, M2-EXOs might carry miR-124-3p to target ROCK1 and ROCK2 in neurons, affecting ROCK/PTEN/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, and then reducing Glu-induced neuronal apoptosis. M2 microglia-derived exosomes may protect HT22 cells against Glu-induced injury by transferring miR-124-3p into HT22 cells, with ROCK being a target gene for miR-124-3p.

BACKGROUND: Paired-like Homeobox 2B (PHOX2B) is considered the causative gene of Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (CCHS), a dominant genetic disorder characterized by impaired central respiratory control and subsequent hypoventilation during sleep. METHODS: Herein, we present a family with recurrent severe CCHS. The potential causative genetic variant was confirmed through Whole-Exome Sequencing (WES), Sanger sequencing, and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR). Furthermore, prenatal diagnosis was performed on the proband's mother at 20 weeks of her fourth pregnancy upon request. RESULTS: The proband and her brother were both carriers of the PHOX2B polyalanine expansion variant: c.744_758dupCGCGGCAGCGGCGGCGGCGGC. Sanger sequencing revealed that the proband's father had a small variant peak in the gene position, implying potential somatic mosaicism. In addition, ddPCR results showed that the proband's father had germline mosaicism, with a mosaicism proportion of 14.3%. Notably, the detect p.(Ala241[26]) variant was not detected in the fetus. CONCLUSIONS: These findings have important implications for improving genetic counseling of CCHS families as they suggest that even parents without CCHS symptoms may have somatic chimerism, necessitating careful genetic counseling and consideration of prenatal testing for subsequent pregnancies.

OBJECTIVE: Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) is common in adolescence. Rumination is a key risk factor and often co-occurs with depressive symptoms. This is the first study to examine the joint longitudinal trajectories of rumination and depressive symptoms as predictors of NSSI, and the adverse experiences associated with these trajectories. METHOD: A community sample of 1,835 adolescents (55.9% male participants, 12.3 ± 0.5 years of age) completed questionnaires to assess adverse childhood experiences, rumination, depressive symptoms, and NSSI. Assessments were made 4 times over 18 months. RESULTS: A parallel process growth mixture model showed that youth with high trajectories of rumination but low trajectories of depression had moderately increased odds of NSSI (2.43-fold, 95% CI 1.53-3.91) compared with adolescents with low trajectories of both rumination and depression. Odds ratios (ORs) in adolescents with low trajectories of rumination but increasing or high trajectories of depression were similarly elevated, suggesting that high trajectories of rumination or depression were risk factors in isolation. However, odds were 10.06-fold greater (95% CI 5.68-18.02) when high trajectories of rumination occurred in tandem with high trajectories of depression. Multinomial logistic regression showed that male sex (OR 10.54, 95% CI 5.66-19.63), peer victimization (OR 2.25, 95% CI 1.72-2.96), and parental alienation (OR 1.94, 95% CI 1.46-2.57) were key determinants of membership in the highest risk group. CONCLUSION: Risk for NSSI is markedly increased in adolescents with high longitudinal trajectories of depression and rumination. Reducing exposure to peer victimization, cyber victimization, emotional abuse, parental alienation, and interparental conflict may reduce risk.

For the classical multi-objective optimal power flow (MOOPF) problem, only traditional thermal power generators are used in power systems. However, there is an increasing interest in renewable energy sources and the MOOPF problem using wind and solar energy has been raised to replace part of the thermal generators in the system with wind turbines and solar photovoltaics (PV) generators. The optimization objectives of MOOPF with renewable energy sources vary with the study case. They are mainly a combination of 2-4 objectives from fuel cost, emissions, power loss and voltage deviation (VD). In addition, reasonable prediction of renewable power is a major difficulty due to the discontinuous, disordered and unstable nature of renewable energy. In this paper, the Weibull probability distribution function (PDF) and lognormal PDF are applied to evaluate the available wind and available solar power, respectively. In this paper, an enhanced multi-objective mayfly algorithm (NSMA-SF) based on non-dominated sorting and the superiority of feasible solutions is implemented to tackle the MOOPF problem with wind and solar energy. The algorithm NSMA-SF is applied to the modified IEEE-30 and standard IEEE-57 bus test systems. The simulation results are analyzed and compared with the recently reported MOOPF results.

The 18 O enrichment (Δ18 O) of cellulose (Δ18 OCel ) is recognized as a unique archive of past climate and plant function. However, there is still uncertainty regarding the proportion of oxygen in cellulose (pex ) that exchanges post-photosynthetically with medium water of cellulose synthesis. Particularly, recent research with C3 grasses demonstrated that the Δ18 O of leaf sucrose (Δ18 OSuc , the parent substrate for cellulose synthesis) can be much higher than predicted from daytime Δ18 O of leaf water (Δ18 OLW ), which could alter conclusions on photosynthetic versus post-photosynthetic effects on Δ18 OCel via pex . Here, we assessed pex in leaves of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) grown at different atmospheric relative humidity (RH) and CO2 levels, by determinations of Δ18 OCel in leaves, Δ18 OLGDZW (the Δ18 O of water in the leaf growth-and-differentiation zone) and both Δ18 OSuc and Δ18 OLW (adjusted for εbio , the biosynthetic fractionation between water and carbohydrates) as alternative proxies for the substrate for cellulose synthesis. Δ18 OLGDZW was always close to irrigation water, and pex was similar (0.53 ± 0.02 SE) across environments when determinations were based on Δ18 OSuc . Conversely, pex was erroneously and variably underestimated (range 0.02-0.44) when based on Δ18 OLW . The photosynthetic signal fraction in Δ18 OCel is much more constant than hitherto assumed, encouraging leaf physiological reconstructions.

Agricultural pests are the primary contributing factor to crop yield reduction, particularly in underdeveloped regions. Despite the significant efficacy of pesticides in pest control, their extensive use has led to the drug-fast of insecticide resistance. Developing of new environmentally friendly plant-based pesticides is an urgent necessity. In this study, a series of diaryl ether compounds containing propargyloxy and sulfonamide groups were designed. The synthesis of these 36 compounds primarily relied on nuclear magnetic resonance for structure determination, while single-crystal X-ray diffraction was employed for certain compounds. Meanwhile, the insecticidal activities against Mythimna separata were also assessed. Some of the compounds exhibited significantly enhanced activity, the LC50 value of the highest activity compound TD8 (0.231 mg/mL) demonstrating respective increases by 100-fold compared to the plant pesticide celangulin V (23.9 mg/mL), and a 5-fold increase with the positive control L-1 (1.261 mg/mL). The interaction between the target compound and the target, as well as the consistency of the target, were verified through symptomological analysis and molecular docking. The structure-activity relationships were also conducted. This study offered a novel trajectory for the advancement and formulation of future pesticides.

Tumor-associated astrocytes (TAAs) in the glioblastoma microenvironment play an important role in tumor development and malignant progression initiated by glioma stem cells (GSCs). In the current study, normal human astrocytes (NHAs) were cultured and continuously treated with GSC-derived exosomes (GSC-EXOs) induction to explore the mechanism by which GSCs affect astrocyte remodeling. This study revealed that GSC-EXOs can induce the transformation of NHAs into TAAs, with relatively swollen cell bodies and multiple extended processes. In addition, high proliferation, elevated resistance to temozolomide (TMZ), and increased expression of TAA-related markers (TGF-ß, CD44, and tenascin-C) were observed in the TAAs. Furthermore, GSC-derived exosomal miR-3065-5p could be delivered to NHAs, and miR-3065-5p levels increased significantly in TAAs, as verified by miRNA expression profile sequencing and Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Overexpression of miR-3065-5p also enhanced NHA proliferation, elevated resistance to TMZ, and increased the expression levels of TAA-related markers. In addition, both GSC-EXO-induced and miR-3065-5p-overexpressing NHAs promoted tumorigenesis of GSCs in vivo. Discs Large Homolog 2 (DLG2, downregulated in glioblastoma) is a direct downstream target of miR-3065-5p in TAAs, and DLG2 overexpression could partially reverse the transformation of NHAs into TAAs. Collectively, these data demonstrate that GSC-EXOs induce the transformation of NHAs into TAAs via the miR-3065-5p/DLG2 signaling axis and that TAAs can further promote the tumorigenesis of GSCs. Thus, precisely blocking the interactions between astrocytes and GSCs via exosomes may be a novel strategy to inhibit glioblastoma development, but more in-depth mechanistic studies are still needed.

Income poverty is associated with an enhanced tendency to avoid losses in economic decisions, which can be driven by a response bias (risk avoidance) and a valuation bias (loss aversion). However, the impact of non-income dimensions of poverty on these biases remains unclear. The current study tested the impact of material hardship on these biases, and the mediating effects of anxiety, depression, and cognitive control in these associations. Healthy adults (N = 188) completed questionnaire and behavioral measures of the variables. Results of regression-based analyses showed that participants who reported higher material hardship exhibited greater response bias, but not valuation bias. This effect was mediated by anxiety. Although material hardship predicted lower cognitive control, cognitive control did not mediate the association between material hardship and either type of bias. These findings suggest that material hardship may lead to economic decision-making biases because it impacts emotional states rather than cognitive control.

OBJECTIVE: Prostate cancer (PC) is a significant disease affecting men's health worldwide. More than 60% of patients over 65 years old and more than 80% are diagnosed with localized PC. The current choice of treatment modalities for localized PC and whether overtreatment is controversial. Therefore, we wanted to construct a nomogram to predict the risk factors associated with cancer-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival (OS) in elderly patients with localized PC while assessing the survival differences in surgery and radiotherapy for elderly patients with localized PC. METHODS: Data of patients with localized PC over 65 years were obtained from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression models were used to determine independent risk factors for CSS and OS. Nomograms predicting CSS and OS were built using multivariate Cox regression models. The consistency index (C-index), the area under the subject operating characteristic curve (AUC), and the calibration curve were used to test the accuracy and discrimination of the prediction model. Decision curve analysis (DCA) was used to test the potential clinical value of this model. RESULTS: A total of 90,434 patients over 65 years and diagnosed with localized PC from 2010 to 2018 were included in the study. All patients were randomly assigned to the training set (n = 63,328) and the validation set (n = 27,106). Univariate and multivariate Cox regression model analysis showed that age, race, marriage, T stage, surgical, radiotherapy, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and Gleason score (GS) were independent risk factors for predicting CSS in elderly patients with localized PC. Age, race, marriage, surgery, radiotherapy, PSA, and GS were independent risk factors for predicting OS in elderly patients with localized PC. The c-index of the training and validation sets for the predicted CSS is 0.802(95%CI:0.788-0.816) and 0.798(95%CI:0.776-0.820, respectively). The c-index of the training and validation sets for predicting OS is 0.712(95%:0.704-0.720) and 0.724(95%:0.714-0.734). It shows that the nomograms have excellent discriminatory ability. The AUC and the calibration curves also show good accuracy and discriminability. CONCLUSION: We have developed new nomograms to predict CSS and OS in elderly patients with localized PC. After internal validation and external temporal validation with reasonable accuracy, reliability and potential clinical value, the model can be used for clinically assisted decision-making.

BACKGROUND: Leveraging the precision of its radiation dose distribution and the minimization of postoperative complications, low-dose-rate (LDR) permanent seed brachytherapy is progressively adopted in addressing hepatic malignancies. PURPOSE: The present study endeavors to devise a sophisticated treatment planning system (TPS) to optimize LDR brachytherapy for hepatic lesions. METHODS: Our TPS encompasses four integral modules: multi-organ segmentation, seed distribution initialization, puncture pathway selection, and inverse dose planning. By amalgamating an array of deep learning models, the segmentation module proficiently labels 17 discrete abdominal targets within the images. We introduce a knowledge-based seed distribution initialization methodology that discerns the most analogous tumor shape in the reference treatment plan from the knowledge base. Subsequently, the seed distribution from the reference plan is transmuted to the current case, thus establishing seed distribution initialization. Furthermore, we parameterize the puncture needles and seeds, while concurrently constraining the puncture needle angle through the employment of a virtual puncture panel to augment planning algorithm efficiency. We also presented a user interface that includes a range of interactive features, seamlessly integrated with the treatment planning generation function. RESULTS: The multi-organ segmentation module, which is trained by 50 cases of in-house CT scans and 694 cases of publicly available CT scans, achieved average Dice of 0.80 and Hausdorff distance of 5.2 mm in testing datasets. The results demonstrate that knowledge-based initialization exhibits a marked enhancement in expediting the convergence rate. Our TPS also demonstrates a dominant advantage in dose-volume-histogram criteria and execution time in comparison to commercial TPS. CONCLUSION: The study proposes an innovative treatment planning system for low-dose-rate permanent seed brachytherapy for hepatic malignancies. We show that the generated treatment plans meet clinical requirement.

BACKGROUND: Childhood adversity is associated with abnormalities in brain structure, but this association has not been tested for childhood unpredictability, one form of adversity. We studied whether abnormalities in gray matter volume (GMV) could be a mechanism linking childhood unpredictability and psychopathology, over and above the effect of childhood trauma. METHODS: Participants were 158 right-handed healthy young adults (aged 17-28 years, M = 22.07, s.d. = 2.08; 66.46% female) who underwent structural magnetic resonance imaging measurements and provided retrospective reports of childhood unpredictability. The anxiety and depression subscales of the self-report Brief Symptom Inventory-53 were used to index psychopathology. RESULTS: Whole-brain voxel-based morphometric analyses showed that after controlling for the effect of childhood trauma, childhood unpredictability was correlated with greater GMV in bilateral frontal pole, bilateral precuneus, bilateral postcentral gyrus, right hemisphere of fusiform, and lingual gyrus, and left hemisphere of ventrolateral prefrontal cortex as well as occipital gyrus. Greater GMV in bilateral frontal pole, bilateral precuneus, and bilateral postcentral gyrus mediated associations between unpredictability and symptoms of depression and anxiety. CONCLUSIONS: The findings suggest that childhood unpredictability could exact unique effects on neural development, over and above the effect of childhood trauma. These findings are relevant for understanding the occurrence of psychopathology following childhood unpredictability and have implications for intervention.

In order to investigate the 239+240Pu potential influence in the ocean, and develop a new method for rapidly monitoring radioactive pollution, the 239+240Pu spatial distribution in the South China Sea (SCS) and the Indian Ocean (IND) sediments is analyzed by SF-ICP-MS (ELEMENT 2). The inventory-weighted mean activities of 239+240Pu were 0.413 ± 0.333 mBq/g, 0.128 ± 0.044 mBq/g, and 0.483 ± 0.606 mBq/g in the sediments of the SCS, eastern IND, and Arabian Sea, respectively. The 239+240Pu activity spatial distribution in the SCS sediments was influenced by the current, the vertical distribution of Pu in seawater, and the transport of particulate matter. The 239+240Pu activity spatial distribution in the IND sediments could be impacted by Antarctic Intermediate Water. The average of 240Pu/239Pu atomic ratios were 0.258 ± 0.034, 0.219 ± 0.031, and 0.212 ± 0.028 in the sediments of the SCS, eastern IND, and Arabian Sea, respectively. The 240Pu/239Pu atomic ratios in the SCS and IND indicate that Pu from the Pacific Proving Ground (PPG) is transported to the IND via the SCS internal current and transverse ocean currents within Indonesia. In addition, a seawater advection-dispersion equation (S-ADE) model is established based on the actual physical processes of radionuclides in the seawater column and well fitting results were obtained (R2 = 0.49 to 0.99). The 239+240Pu data and the geographic information from the sample site were used to correct the Pu distribution in the seawater. The calculated 239+240Pu mean concentrations in the surface seawater were 2.465 mBq/m3 and 2.205 mBq/m3 for the SCS and the eastern IND seawater, respectively, and the result is consistent with the previous measurements. Then, the 239+240Pu stored in the study area of SCS and eastern IND was estimated to be approximately 1.0-1.4% of the global ocean based on the model. This study provides a useful model for guiding and designing future monitoring of pollution by anthropogenic Pu and other isotopes.

Objectives: Sclareol (SCL) is a natural diterpene with anti-inflammation and antioxidant properties. This study aimed to assess the hepatoprotective effects of SCL in diabetic mice. Methods: SCL (10 mg/kg) was administered intragastrically to C57BL/6 mice with streptozotocin-induced diabetes daily for 5 weeks to evaluate its beneficial effects in liver injury. Body and liver weight and blood glucose levels were measured. Liver histopathology, fibrosis, and lipid accumulation were evaluated using hematoxylin and eosin, Masson's trichrome, and Oil Red O staining, respectively. Serum hepatic enzyme and lipid levels were measured using an automatic biochemical analyzer. Hepatocellular apoptosis was measured using the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling assay. Oxidative stress markers and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were measured using appropriate assay kits. The effects of sclareol on inflammation and lipid metabolism was evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunohistochemical analysis, and Western blot assays. Results: SCL significantly decreased serum liver enzymes and lipids levels, and alleviated adipogenesis and fibrosis. Moreover, the protein levels of acetyl-CoA carboxylase and sterol response element-binding protein 1 were downregulated, whereas the expression of carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 was upregulated. SCL increased the antioxidant activity, and decreased ROS levels. SCL alleviated hepatic mitochondrial damage. Furthermore, SCL inhibited Kupffer cell infiltration and reduced serum inflammatory cytokine levels. SCL significantly downregulated the protein expression of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) P65, NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3), caspase 1, and interleukin-1ß. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that SCL improves diabetes-induced liver injury by alleviating the NF-κB/NLRP3-mediated inflammation and lipid metabolism disorder.

InGaN quantum dots (QDs) are regarded as a compelling candidate material for the fabrication of high-quality GaN-based micro-LEDs. In this work, to study the impact of a substrate structure on InGaN QDs and QD-based micro-LEDs, GaN-on-sapphire substrates with off-cut angles toward the a-axis of 0.2°, 0.4°, and 0.7° were utilized as templates for the fabrication of InGaN QDs and InGaN QDs-based micro-LEDs. Experimental results show that GaN template with 0.4° off-cut angle exhibits the narrowest terrace width and enables InGaN QDs to be higher and more uniform. The InGaN QD sample grown on 0.4° substrate has a very small wavelength shift of 2.5 nm with temperature increasing and owns the longest photoluminescence peak wavelength implying the highest In content. Furthermore, electroluminescence (EL) spectra demonstrate that QD-based micro-LED array has excellent wavelength stability under various injection currents, and the stability can be improved further on a GaN template with narrower terraces. The results indicate that altering the terrace width of GaN template is a feasible scheme for improving the properties of GaN-based micro-LEDs.

The augmented intra-operative real-time imaging in vascular interventional surgery, which is generally performed by projecting preoperative computed tomography angiography images onto intraoperative digital subtraction angiography (DSA) images, can compensate for the deficiencies of DSA-based navigation, such as lack of depth information and excessive use of toxic contrast agents. 3D/2D vessel registration is the critical step in image augmentation. A 3D/2D registration method based on vessel graph matching is proposed in this study. For rigid registration, the matching of vessel graphs can be decomposed into continuous states, thus 3D/2D vascular registration is formulated as a search tree problem. The Monte Carlo tree search method is applied to find the optimal vessel matching associated with the highest rigid registration score. For nonrigid registration, we propose a novel vessel deformation model based on manifold regularization. This model incorporates the smoothness constraint of vessel topology into the objective function. Furthermore, we derive simplified gradient formulas that enable fast registration. The proposed technique undergoes evaluation against seven rigid and three nonrigid methods using a variety of data - simulated, algorithmically generated, and manually annotated - across three vascular anatomies: the hepatic artery, coronary artery, and aorta. Our findings show the proposed method's resistance to pose variations, noise, and deformations, outperforming existing methods in terms of registration accuracy and computational efficiency. The proposed method demonstrates average registration errors of 2.14 mm and 0.34 mm for rigid and nonrigid registration, and an average computation time of 0.51 s.
